Nedeljkovic Dr. Verica (16.09.1929)

Serbian Woman Grandmaster (1977). Best Yugoslav sportswoman of the year, she was awarded the Order of Merit for the People in 1957. Yugoslav Women’s Champion in 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1958 and 1965.

Won Opatija in 1953, Herceg Novi zonal 1954, Venice Zonal 1957, Bela Crkva 1958, Bad Neuenaar zonal 1963, Belgrade 1962, Barcelona zonal 1966.

A member of the team which finished second at the 1963 Women’s Olympiad. Playing at board 2, she was awarded an individual gold medal for the perfect score of 12/12.
