Marco-GeorgAustrian chess player, Romanian by origin. One of the strongest chess players of Austria at the end of the 19th century-beginning of the 20th century. Chess journalist and author. The editor of the magazine Wiener Schachzeitung1898-1916. Since 1855 he lived in Vienna and worked as a secretary at the chess club.

Best results: Vienna 1895, 1897, 1901, 1st; Munich 1900 and Monte-Carlo 1904, 5th; Ostend1905, Stockholm 1912, 3rd. His best achievement was the third place at the Vienna 1903 Gambit Tournament where he was ahead of Nelson Pillsbury, Geza Maroczy, Jacques Mieses, Richard Teichmann, etc.).

Author of Vienna Gambit Tournament (1903), Bremen1905, Ostend1906, Carlsbad1907 (with Schlechter), Lasker-Tarrasch match 1908 and Badenauf Wien Gambit Tournament 1914.
